We talk to the head of Downtown Winnipeg Biz.
In the beautiful Winnipeg Art Gallery, we chatted with Stefano Grande, Executive Director of Downtown Winnipeg BIZ.
The core function of the BIZ is to market downtown Winnipeg and be advocates on behalf of the 1,300 businesses that are part of their zone. But the organization doesn’t stop there, as they host programs and events to attract more residents downtown in efforts to continue the revitalization of the community.
They operate as “the friendly and hardworking host that improves the perception of downtown by providing a welcoming environment, keeping things clean and safe, and advocating for continuous and positive change.”
With a downtown on the rise and a plethora of events attracting visitors from across the city, province, country and beyond, the BIZ has an active schedule that can offer attractions for anyone of any age and interest. Whether you work, live or visit downtown, you’ll have seen the dramatic positive impacts the organization has had wherever you go.
