At the beginning of the year, Deloitte’s Annual TMT Predictions showed which technology media and telecommunications trends will make an impact within the next 12 months. Deloitte has created a SlideShare featuring their predictions, with some already coming true.
ICTAM, The Innovators was held on April 23. This premier technology event for Winnipeg’s business leaders featured such notables as Peter Aceto from Tangerine Bank. ICTAM also has a number of interesting events throughout the year that you can still attend.
Innovate Manitoba has a series of events running throughout the year. Ramp Up Weekend, Pitch’Day, Launch’Pad, Brandon Entrepreneur Bootcamp, Lift’Off, Driving Innovation Conference & Workshop are all geared towards helping entrepreneurs and researchers get even better at what they do best.
EPIC Technology Day is an award-winning conference known as one of the best-run partner events in North America. The event is aimed at the IT and technology community and exposes attendees to the latest innovations in their industry. EPIC holds two event days: one in the spring and one in the fall on October 27.
TEDx Winnipeg was held June 4 in the same format as all TED and TEDx conferences, featuring incredible speakers teaching and inspiring a packed audience. Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce After Business Mixers are mini-trade shows complete with appetizers and networking. Join as an attendee or an exhibitor to showcase your business. Finally, Take the Leap is Manitoba’s Rural Entrepreneurship Conference held in Dauphin this coming October. This annual event features speakers with entrepreneurial experience who share their experience with attendees.
