CentrePort Video Series: How this local company is evolving through business integration and digital technology.
Air Unlimited sells and services air compressors and power solutions from their CentrePort headquarters in Winnipeg. Founded in 1984, they’ve grown through several business acquisitions and enhanced product offerings, plus a customer-focused mission to provide the “best of the best” when it comes to solutions, service and aftermarket support.
Jason Chuback, Owner and President of Air Unlimited speaks to their impressive growth, explaining, “Through the last 15 years we have acquired other businesses to vertically integrate and provide a better solution for our customers.”
By focusing on the client needs and providing the right solutions, they’ve been able to better match their expertise with a positive customer experience. This client-first focus also led them to win awards in both the 2014 and 2015 Consumer Choice Awards, and garner accolades from the businesses they work with.
Relocating their headquarters
Access to Winnipeg services and proximity for improved shipping was a major draw when Air Unlimited made the decision to move to their CentrePort location in 2016. “We seem to be on the first delivery list of much of our trucking partners,” explains Chuback.
Since the company provides their compressed air systems and building power solutions throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northwest Ontario — requiring reliable and fast access to transport routes — the new location and expanded facility was an important business decision.
That move was also a sign of the company’s culture to evolve and expand when needed. Chuback points to the ways they’ve adopted new tools to keep in better communication. “Technology is important to us because we are always needing to evolve our business. We moved a lot of our digital technology, doing work order through our phones.”
Now with 114+ staff, Air Unlimited is poised for upward evolution in Manitoba, continuing to develop new partnerships and adopt innovative technology solutions for their business.
